Hello! I'm Julia, founder of Rose Tutoring. I graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in Psychological & Brain Science and Studio Art in 2019, and I am currently pursuing my PhD in Counseling Psychology. I have ten years of experience tutoring students in preschool through college. I enjoy getting to know my students and working with them to accomplish their goals.

My personal experiences as a student and my background in psychology have shaped my teaching philosophy; I use empirically supported methods to help students acquire knowledge and skills while also working to improve their confidence and sense of self-efficacy. Often my students have had negative experiences at school, so I focus not only on teaching content, but also on creating a positive learning environment where they feel comfortable and supported.
